2024 Holiday Shop Schedule Announcement
11/30/20241 min read
Hello, friends! I am super excited to announce that I have three pop-up shops between now and Christmas.
Friday, December 6
Juneau Ben Franklin Store downtown for Gallery Walk. I'm planning to be there until 8:00 PM (is it sad that this is my usual bedtime?).
Saturday & Sunday, December 14-15
Saturday & Sunday, December 21-22
These shows will be especially fun because I'll be sharing a table at the Mendenhall Mall with Haines Dames (AKA, my big sister Barbara). So in addition to upcycled map sketchbooks, cards, and notebooks, we'll have locally sourced and made jams and syrups, plus fabric bags and more! If you aren't familiar with Haines Dames, you're in for a treat: she spent all year growing and/or harvesting things like fireweed, spruce tips, and carrots just so she could make her special recipes.
Shopping Local Makes a Difference
Here is your annual reminder that I appreciate you shopping local. Of course, buying from local businesses is a great way to find unique handmade items, but here are some extra awesome advantages:
Local commerce builds local community. I love that most of the items I sell are gifts: thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your relationship. Plus, you get to meet the makers and find out why we do what we do.
Buying local reduces the environmental load by eliminating shipping.
You don't have to worry about whether your purchase will arrive in time - or in one piece
So, thank you for being a part of my business and my community! I hope you'll have time to drop by and say hello :)
